One dark night as mum and dad said, "Be good son, we will be back soon," I was curious. So when they weren't noticing I sneaked in the back of the car. When the car was moving I peaked to have a look out the window. It was marvellous I could see thorny blackberry bushes, dark spooky trees, and the black moonless night sky. We were driving down a muddy road. I was wondering where they were going. I heard them saying a secret base!

The Hoar Frost

One frosty morning as I pulled back the curtains I saw that Jack Frost had, had a party all over the neighbourhood. He must have been everywhere because it's freezing and everything is snow- white. There are a lot of frozen icicles on the washing line, frost on the roof tops and frost all over the bushes. I'm going outside soon I might need to wear all my jackets because it's sub zero.

The Old Tumble Hotel

One day I was driving to an old town. A dirty rugged abandoned hotel appeared. I can see smashed windows on the front of the hotel, and the front door is broken. The timber from the hotel is tearing apart and the sign is fading away. As I crept inside I can see an old desk that is broken. I crept up a metal staircase and I could hear deafening sounds like the stairs were going to fall apart. I can also hear screeching sounds. I can smell the revolting oldness in the hotel.

The Great Flag Debate

I like the the 'Seven Stars of Matariki' flag because the flag is about the seven stars if Matariki. The background is black and has seven stars on it. I think it represents the celebration of Matariki in New Zealand. The celebration is about spending time with your families and seeing if it's going to be a cold or a good winter. That is why I chose the 'Seven Stars of Matariki' flag.

The Great Flag Debate

I don't know what the flag will be for the debate. There are a few new flags that look really cool. I think the flag that I like is the silver fern with colours of black,white and red . I want this flag because it stands out and looks like a flag that should represent our country. That's why I would like it. Which one do you like?
